Opinion: A common understanding in the USA is that you don't want to go into legal proceedings without having proper representation. What this means is that the less fortunate will often times receive a less than adequate legal defense and be at the mercy of the courts. It appears that the January 6th defendants had to overcome one additional obstacle and that is no matter how good their legal defense was, the prosecution had ultimate power to convict, based upon a withholding of evidence. Its unfortunate that the judges presiding over these cases, did not step in and perform their due diligence as arbiters between the two parties...patDog
